What is emotional regulation? How does this skill allow you to live a content, easy life? Lucky you, I'm gonna tell you in this episode. When you learn how to regulate your emotions (which essentially means to feel them without drowning under them) you can flow through life without the peaks and valleys that dysregulated people go through. Yes, you will still have ups and downs, but life and you will feel more stable and more grounded.
Emotional regulation is really a few skills wrapped under this umbrella, and I walk you through what those skills are and how to begin practicing them. I talk about how our brain is sometimes a dramatic little gremlin and kidnapped by our emotions, and how to bring yourself out of the cliff that your gremlin brain wants to jump off of.
